OSDC Israel 2007/Tracks
From Perl
The task at hand
- Leading a track includes nagging people you know who are capable of giving good talks.
- Locating more people outside the current "community".
- Making sure there are enough good talks.
- Deciding which talks to accept and which not to.
- Making sure that the speakers know what to expect from the conference and the facilities.
Tracks and people who are responsible for the main tracks
Including ideas for talks
- Perl -- Szabgab but I won't mind if someone took it over from me
- Python
- PHP
- Ruby + Rails -- dorkalev
- Version Control Systems (Subversion, etc.)
- Kernel and Virtualisation
- Applications and Automating applications
- Introductions to GIMP
- OO.org
- Firefox hacks ( I would like to hear the talk of Thomas that we missed -- Szabgab)
- Open-Source Usability and the FOSS community (needs better name. What I had in mind: the Ben Yehuda project, other community efforts)
While the focus of the conference is developers (both who develop FOSS and thos who use FOSS for development) I belive that learning about various applications and especially how to automate them can also included. -- Szabgab
